Good old 2006…

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

GNOME CVS is currently undergoing a migration to SVN and so far I can call it a success, because I was able to make my first commit today.. ;)
The migration may take a bit more than the prognosis (48hours) because in 34 hours there are only 80 modules out of 600 completed. But most of the late modules were less used anyway and I currently care only about epiphany and epiphany-extensions…

I also had my last workday in Nokia this friday… Seven months really has passed fast and I cannot say I really enjoyed it, but more fun and more extreme challenges will come.

Christmas was fun too thanks to Helena and Ruve. And of course - a big “Thank You!” to everyone who sent me cards and chocolate..

And a “Happy new year!” :)

No comments needed…

Converting .maildir to mbox format

Saturday, December 16th, 2006

Just another Code Snippet of the Month.. ;)

for i in `find maildir |grep -v /\$`; do
  cat $i | formail >> mboxfile
done

Requirements bash, find, grep and procmail ;)

And I have to say that I really like CaCert.org. When your cert has expired (they used to send an email few weeks before this happens, but I didn’t get one this time) you just go to their site, choose your expired cert, click on “renew” and check your inbox. Then copy-paste the new certificate to the appropriate files in the server and reload apache/postfix. Done.
