More GNOME goodness - clock-applet revisited

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

A while ago I created a patch that separated events taken from Evolution calendar and displayed in clock-applet into different categories. I was hoping that it will land into 2.12, but well, maintainers were apparently busy (or just ignoring me). Finally, during this week I managed to get some peer review attention and finally got few suggestions about the patch:

Multimedia application keybinding support in Gnome :)

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Last night I committed last patch into GNOME SVN to add keybinding support for “Media” key present on many multimedia keyboards/remotes. And if you do not have one, you can just configure a shortcut using gnome-keybinding-properties and it will launch your favorite multimedia application:

Only thing missing now is a better looking icon… But I guess Tango guys have something in their minds.
